Market News

GREAT morning all!

Stones River Market is Proud to support and back to our local economy and support the arts.

Every person who orders will be placed in a drawing to receive two free tickets to see
The Legend of Pocahontas at The Center for the Arts on Friday August, 26 at 7:30 pm.
To receive an extra entry, share my Facebook or Instagram post from Stones River!

The show is incredible and the youth of Murfreesboro are extremely dedicated and alive with TALENT!

Ann E. Mays will delight us again this week with a sample table. The are hoping to bring NEW items to tempt your taste buds!! Some sweet and perhaps some that are a weekly staple!

This family lives gluten-free and knows how it is to feel like “I can’t eat anything!” So they take charge of their health and taste buds by becoming incredible kitchen wizards! Stones River is thankful to have this knowledge and experience, not to mention the TASTY goods they bring to us.

Sweetpea has added Serrano peppers along with fresh cut herbs. The peppers are small in size, big on heat! Our serrano peppers are ideal to “kick it up a notch” in salsas, chili, or in Thai and other Asian dishes. 3-4" inches long, thin green peppers.

The Krafty Kupboard is featuring the Spicy Buffalo Hummus. Mildly spicy from cayenne peppers… it is ADDICTIVE! One taste just to “see if you will like it” and it’s over. The container is gone in a flash!

Cayenne pepper is a healing pepper. Among the many benefits are what they do for digestion! Stimulating the saliva, which begins the digestion process. Cayenne pepper also stimulates the flow of enzyme production, which is essential for our digestive system to work properly. It also stimulates gastric juices that aid the body’s ability to metabolize food and toxins.

Food is Medicine and I love seeing everyone making such wise food choices through the market!

We also LOVE! the fact that our vendors want to come, set up tables to share their knowledge, creations or harvests and meet the folks who support them. Our market is very unique and convenient but we still take time to build relationships!

Botanical Harmony Farm has a Jewelweed Salve which is EXCELLENT for aiding the drying of Poison Ivy and has helped Tracey’s chigger bites! 1 oz tin $6.50
If your summer skin needs a buff and polish, try one of our Sea Salt Soaps! All-natural, clays/botanicals or activated charcoal to detox and tone and only essential oils to scent. Your skin will thank you!
If you have dryer skin, try a regular bar or a Sugar Scrub!

We have an incredible amount of offerings right now including, produce, meat, milk and milk products, baked goods, soaps and skincare, chocolate, dog treats! Take advantage of the ease of ordering and pickup for your weekly groceries!

Hope you will take time to browse all the amazing products our market has to offer! We have some of the best growers/makers around!

See you all Wednesday,
