Foothills Market:  The Market is Open!

Brace yourself for another hot week!

Though it’s not very friendly weather for farming, Foothills Market still has a variety of local products for your menu. Maybe next weekend is a good time to fire up the grill outside after the heat passes and have either a hamburger made with our grass-fed beef or a lamburger – for something a little different!

Browse the market between now and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. We’ll have your order ready for pickup Saturday morning at the in-person farmer’s market.

Eat something fresh this week!

Berea Gardens:  Good Morning

Hi Friends,

I am getting out a little early this morning to begin transplanting some of our fall fare for you: Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts and Kale. Fall lettuce is also germinating and we have a lot of work ahead of us harvesting off the summer crops and preparing for the season ahead. Next week we will have a large amount of sweet corn for you.

In addition to what is listed today, we will have a nice assortment of heirloom tomatoes; Yellow Jubilee, Brandywine, Cherokee Purple and Rutgers on the table this week. We also have a few bushels of Roma Canning tomatoes at $40 a bushel, so if you are fortunate enough to have canning lids, this is the time to get some. Leave a message in the “Notes” section of your order if you want me to hold some for you.

Have a Blessed Week,
Bob & Lynnita

Simons Co. Elderberry: Hello all! It’s that time of the year again for great tasting – immune boosting elderberry syrup. Please note we will be moving to biweekly here on the market. We will be available this week and will move to biweekly going forward. Now is a great time to stock up, as our product lasts several weeks in the fridge. Elderberry syrup is not only good for boosting our immune systems but a few other benefits include supporting a healthy heart and urinary tract, respiratory function, and also helps aid in fighting seasonal colds, flus, and allergies. Our syrup is more like a juice rather than a thick syrup making it extremely kid friendly! Reach out with any questions. God bless!
