Dawson Local Harvest:  Egg-citing News for Dawson Harvest

Dawson Local Harvest for January 19th

Egg-citing News for Dawson Harvest

HI EVERYBOSY!

Good News for you Egg-lovers, we have added lovely large Duck Eggs and some of the prettiest multicolored large-Jumbo Chicken Eggs to Bakery*The Market* this week, both from BEAR RIDGE LODGE, a Certified Naturally Grown vendor new to our Harvest. Chickens generally don’t lay much during the short, cold days of winter, so having good quantities is a pleasant surprise.

BTW I think we have some excellent vendors in Dawson Harvest and remember you can always find information about all of the Providers on the Our Growers page.

Spotlight on MY DAILY BREAD, with several items returning to The Market this week. First off, Bagels, both Plain and also Everything, which is the absolute truth! And how about a treat for our Vegan customers, with Vegan Organic Spelt Bread. You’ll find them in the Fresh Bakery section.

THE MARKET IS NOW OPEN!

REMEMBER! You can now order until Tuesday night at 9 pm. Pick up your order at Leilani’s Gardens Friday afternoons from 4 to 6 pm.

You’ll find the DAWSON LOCAL HARVEST at http://dawsonville.locallygrown.net

We thank you for your interest and support of our efforts to bring you the healthiest, the freshest and the most delicious locally-produced foods possible! We guarantee your satisfaction with all products in the DAWSON LOCAL HARVEST.

Best thoughts for you and yours this season!

Most items are listed by 6pm Sunday, but check back again before the market closes Tuesday night to see if any other items are ready to be harvested for you! Eat fresh! Eat local! Eat for better health!

And save your eggshells throughout the week for the laying hens! :-)

Greener Acres Farm:  Another Cold January Day

Nothing much new to report this week. Most of the same items as last week.

Please note that the very popular cheese “Cranberry Christmas” from Clover Creek Cheese Cellar has been renamed “Winter Berry”. Same cheese, just different name.

Also, we got lucky with warm temperatures last Friday, but the forecast for this coming Friday is calling for 20-30’s. If you will be ordering any plants, please make sure you will be home to receive them or let us know when you will be home that we can deliver them, in order to prevent any damage to these plants.

The Wednesday Market:  The Wednesday Market is Open

ALFN Local Food Club:  Market Is Open!

Happy Sunday!

The market is open and ready for your orders. It’s been a while since we have had duck eggs available, and we are happy to say that they are back on the market! Look for them under “what’s new” or the “eggs” category. Eggs are one of our most popular items, and they sell out quick. We recommend getting your egg order in as soon as possible!

We are only $175 away from meeting our fundraising matching goal! We cannot thank you all enough for your support. We are excited about the future possibilities for ALFN and the online market, and are excited to continue serving you. Click here to contribute to our GoFundMe campaign and make plans to attend our fundraising party this Thursday from 4:30-7pm at the Lost 40 Brewery.

Up on our blog today are links to delicious smoothie recipes that are the perfect way to use the abundance of frozen fruits and veggies from last season!

Follow us on Facebook for more offers and events, or visit our website to learn more about our organization.
