Steamed Broccoli (microwave version)

From Statesboro Market2Go

A quick and easy way to prepare steamed broccoli to enjoy as a side, in a salad, or with sauce!

Source: foodnetwork.com (Entered by Ariana Giddens)
Serves: Variable
Vegan!

Ingredients
1 head of Broccoli (more if you want a larger amount of broccoili)
Salt & Pepper to taste

Step by Step Instructions
 1. Cut the broccoli into florets (meaning small pieces that contain just a little stem, but not enough to make the pieces tough)
 2. Put the cut broccoli into a large, microwave safe bowl (one that is glass, ceramic, or explicitly says that it is microwave safe). Season the broccoli with salt.
 3. Wet a few paper towels with water and wring them out. Cover the cut broccoli with the damp paper towels and microwave for 3 minutes and 30 seconds
 4. Carefully remove the (now very hot) paper towels, allow the broccoli to cool slightly. Enjoy and season with salt and pepper if you like!
