Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs

4 Chicken thighs (bone-in and skin-on)
1/2 cup Honey
1/4 cup Water
1 tablespoon Water
1/4 cup Soy sauce
3 tablespoons Cider vinegar
4 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
1 Green onion (thinly sliced, for garnish)
Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Step by Step Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Stir the honey, 1/4 cup of water, soy sauce, vinegar and garlic together.
- Put the chicken thighs skin side down on a baking sheet, then pour the honey mixture over them. Bake for 25 minutes, flip the thighs over, then bake for 20 minutes more.
- Remove the baking pan from the oven and pour the cooking juices into a saucepan. Mix the cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water. Bring the cooking juices to a boil in the saucepan, then slowly whisk in the cornstarch.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken thighs and garnish them with sliced green onions & sesame seeds as desired.
