Pesto Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients
8 ounces Uncooked spaghetti
3 tablespoons Olive oil (divided)
1 cup Fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup Lemon juice
2 cloves Garlic (peeled)
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 pound Asparagus (trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces)
3/4 pound Shrimp (peeled & deveined)
1/8 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Cook the spaghetti. While it cooks, combine 1 tablespoon of olive oil, the basil, lemon juice, garlic and salt in a blender. Cover and blend until smooth.
  2. Put the asparagus in a skillet with the remaining oil and saute. Add the shrimp and red pepper flakes. Cook stirring until the shrimp are pink.
  3. Drain the spaghetti. Place it into a bowl and add the basil mixture. Toss to coat, then mix in the shrimp & asparagus.
