Carolina Foothills, SC:  The Market

http://carolinafoothills.locallygrown.net/market

Hello Good People,
Im back from visiting family out west. Local Organic is not only common but actually expected by the locals there . Really awesome !

So I’ve made a decision to move back to be with my family.

I am looking for another market manager who is passionate about getting local organic food to our community. In the meantime , I will keep our market turned OFF until I find that person.

Keep your products listed because it’s so easy to ‘turn on’ this market People can still view products and become a member.

Thanks to you ALL for growing and producing the absolute best food for our communities. I will keep you posted!

Much Love ,
Marantha

Joyful Noise Acres Farm:  The market is open for ordering.

Good morning,
The market is now open for ordering. Joyful Noise Acres Farm *has new pork and chicken in. There are plenty of large birds to choose from. The pork is even more delicious than before. The pigs have been on a diet of produce and barley and the meat is sweeter and pinker than before. This batch of sausage is truly mild not medium.
*Four Mile Farm *now has lamb and beef. We have beef, pork and bones in the freezer also for those that need to make broth.
We only have a few more weeks of tomatoes and peppers. My favorite summer recipe has been sliced tomatoes and sliced gouda cheese drizzled with *Home Appetits’ *Balsamic Vinegar then *Rosemary Knoll’s *Artichoke pesto on top. This is a salad by itself or layer this over a bed of greens. Add a loaf of Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Bread From *Two Daughters Bakery *and you never had to warm up the kitchen. Finally for dessert, slice a loaf of *Farm Fresh Foods
Chocolate Espresso Bread or Tara’s Apple Tart. YUM!
Have fun browsing all the wonderful foods and we will see you on Wednesday.
Blessings,
Mary Beth

Jonesborough Locally Grown:  Saturday August 23 Market

Big day in Jonesborough on Saturday. The market is loaded with local produce, meats, eggs and baked goods.

Maybe a fritata with local eggs, vegetables and goat cheese would be perfect on the menu.

We will have activities for the kids this week with Read & Play Adventure Day. Local Storyteller Cathy Jo McMaken will be signing her book “A Rainy Day Adventure” as well as doing some crafts and storytelling.

Music will be provided by The Bluebirds.

Ginny Wall will be back with her soaps and Becky Chapman will have those Rebloom flowers that last year round.

See you on the street.
