siloamsprings.locally grown.net

Tomatoes, cucumbers, micro greens and more are available online this week as well as eggs, baked goods, and a great selection of meats!

Have a great week and see you Saturday!

Champaign, OH:  Weekend Haze

Good morning, lovely customers!

Here we are, Monday, once again, and we are heading into another lovely week!

I just wanted to remind you of all the lovely local produce, and seasonal products available, as well as all of the year round products that you love, on a weekly basis!

And, the garlic gals of JCGrowers have so much of their garlic crop, ready for ordering!!! This is always a highlight of the season!

Don’t forget that we have blackberries, from Champaign Berry…the season is short, and they are in high demand!

Kingdom Fish has been knocking everyone out with their seasonal produce, microgreens, and tilapia!

Flowers are abundant from our floral vendors!!

Lady Bug Acres has been bringing in great looking kale, peppers, and their usual eggs and honey!

Summer breakfasts need eggs, milk, jams, jellies, maple syrup, honey, baked goods…

Grilling season is here, and there are so many great cuts of meat, brats, burgers, and patties on the market!! The fish and seafood that is featured on the market also are perfect for a grilled dinner!

When you are outside, grilling, or even doing yard work, ChrisMis has you covered with outdoor sprays, itching salve, and poison ivy soap!

ELM Tree Essentials can add to your oil collections!! I know that I have been making my own multi-purpose cleaner, using her Thieves blend, and I will never look at a store bought cleaner, again! Also, her Patchouli oil is the only patchouli I love to wear…

Looking to serve your appetizers on beautiful woodworks? While you are waiting on the grilling, you can serve snacks and drinks on the cutting boards and coasters from Ehrle Bird Designs!

Do you need gluten free options for all those breakfasts and grill feasts? Look to Ella Bella for her gluten free mixes or to Madison’ Gluten Free Baking for her amazing baked goods!

Looking to get super spicy and hot with your grilling? Look to spices from JCGrowers, and for some real kick, look to Ho’s Peppers!!

Indian Creek Dairy is the perfect milk that I mentioned for those summer breakfasts, and Lippincott Honey, is another lovely honey option, perfect for serving with say…some Cosmic Charlie Flower Power biscuits..

The girls of Flourish, along with Kim from Kim’s Homestead Flowers can give beauty to your home, tables, and outdoors!

For a summer body treat, try My Daily Hemp for her body butters…divine!

Another lovely way to bring warmth into your home is with candles. As the sun sets, I love to light candles. Old Homefarm Candles are the BEST scented candles!!!

With tons of grilling, you will want a lot of salad using the already mentioned produce, AND, the lettuce varieties from Old Souls Farm!!

Look to Oberly Bros Farm for your corn needs for feeding the wildlife around you, and for any woodworking like his bat houses…or, hey…if you want to bake, he also has whole wheat flour!

Staying healthy is easy with S and S Naturals elderberry products!!

For breakfast, or kicking back with dessert, Spotted Cow offers some of the best Hemisphere’s Coffee selections!! Coffee not your thing? ChrisMis Farms, and Cottage Alpaca offer tea blends!

That lovely maple syrup that I mentioned for breakfast? It can also be used in other recipes, and even as a syrup for cocktails…and, it comes to us from Valley View Woodlands!

Those grilling options? Look to Oakview Farm Meats, TH Wallace Farms, Stoll Farm/Vernon Family Beef, Freshwater Farms, and Kingdom Fish…

The hardworking bakers for those desserts and treats…let’s hear it for Ruthie’s Pies, Airport Cafe, One Eyed Cookie Lab, Ga-Ga’s Goodies, Cabin Creek, and Baked Batter!

Don’t forget your pets…they love treats, as well, and you can get those from…The Barkery or from Freshwater Farms!

When Homecomer Traditions are on the market, John offers lovely works of wood, especially during holiday time!

For unique gifts, socks, dryer balls, GourmetFibers, Cottage Alpaca Creations, has a huge selection!

When Blue Jacket is on for the one week of the month, their cheeses pair well, with everything!!

And, you know what is the perfect ending to grilling? Dessert!! Pies!! Cookies!! Cupcakes!! Fudge!!

It’s all good, here at the market!!

And…just a heads up…after this week, I will then put my products in vacation mode, again, for another week of wedding prep work, so order, now!

To round out this amazing list of vendors and products, you also have my bread products and soups, at Cosmic Charlie! AND…last, but not least, your market managers bring you…Hippie and the Farmer…

Go, order, it all closes, for the week, at 8am, tomorrow morning!!

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam

Lathemtown Farm Fresh Market:  Summer Update

We are happy to be getting all this rain – everything is growing well! Even those weeds :/ We have planted more beans and tomatoes to keep the crop going through fall. New beds of lettuces, spinach and chard have been planted to replace the ones that have bolted in the heat. Berries are a bit soggy so I will put any extra in the stand on Saturday during pick up. Remember to check the “Extras” cooler each Saturday as I will put any extra quantities of baked goods, soups and salads in there – anything that requires cooling.
Thanks again to all of you that return containers and cartons and jars! I like to keep reusing to keep costs lower and reduce waste. I try to add $1 for each bag you return – if I missed your account credit please let me know. Not all bags have a name on them for me to know.

Have a great week!
Farmher Chef Amy

Athens Locally Grown:  ALG Market Open for July 22

Athens Locally Grown

How to contact us:
Our Website: athens.locallygrown.net
On Twitter: @athlocallygrown

On Thursdays: Here’s a map.

Market News

We’ve reached the lazy days of summer, where Athens seems to take a collective pause and catch its breath before the students come pouring back in just a couple weeks from now. Seems like a lot of people are using this time to get out of town and recharge, and I’m no exception. I’m taking the week off from market, for the first time since everything changed in March of 2020. I’ve left Thursday in the more than capable hands of our regular team of volunteers so other than a different face when you drive up you shouldn’t notice anything different. I’ll see you again next week!

Thank you so much for your support of Athens Locally Grown, all of our growers, local food, and our rights to eat it. You all are part of what makes Athens such a great area in which to live. We’ll see you at our market’s home on Tallassee Road!

We are still getting new customers every week (and we love seeing new faces!) so for all of you you can find a detailed run-down of how Thursdays go on our website here: https://athens.locallygrown.net/faq#7

Other Area Farmers Markets

If ALG doesn’t have everything you need, please support our growers at the other markets that are now back up and running, or at their own locations. The Comerian takes online orders for Saturday pickup at the bakery here: https://www.thecomerian.com/online-ordering. The Athens Farmers Market is holding their Saturday market once again in Bishop Park. They’re still operating under pandemic rules, so you’ll want to read up on all the changes on their website, http://athensfarmersmarket.net. The West Broad Farmers Market is back, holding a drive through market just like us (and using my software too, so it’ll be nice and familiar). You can join them at https://wbfm.locallygrown.net. The Saturday market in Comer has also returned. They’re small, but sometimes an early Saturday drive to Comer is just what the soul needs. And of course Collective Harvest is going strong over at https://www.collectiveharvestathens.com.

All of these other markets are separate from ALG (including the Athens Farmers Market) but many growers sell at multiple markets. Please support your local farmers and food producers, where ever you’re able to do so!

We thank you for your interest and support of our efforts to bring you the healthiest, the freshest and the most delicious locally-produced foods possible!
