Champaign, OH:  Come Together

Just a short and sweet opening market Weblog for this evening!

Tonight, at the market, I was reminded of how special our little community is, how special this little market of love is, and how it all just works when we all…vendors, customers, YMCA, community, all come together in this little local adventure!

Much love and many thanks!

The market is now opening for the week! Over the next few weeks, you will see vendors coming and going in this busy season, and you will see returning seasonal vendors AND additions of new vendors!

Thanks so much for coming together and helping us grow!

A big shout out to Herr Family Farm! It was a peachy kind of night for them! If you missed out on peaches, tonight, you can find them at The Champaign County Farmers Market, on Saturday, or at Tuesday’s Mechanicsburg Farmers and Artisans Market!

Happy Ordering!

Peace, Love, Good Vibes…

REMINDER! Pick Up Time Change to 6:30 PM Starting THIS TUESDAY!

Just a reminder!!
As many of you know I have 2 very active children and my husband and I are both coaches for their teams. The season has started and in order for me to make sure both kids are at practice on time I need to close the warehouse 15 minutes earlier at 6:30pm instead of 6:45pm.

I’m hoping this won’t affect too many folks. I have to lock up and leave at exactly 6:30pm so please make sure you come by at least a few minutes beforehand to grab your items.

This change will take place starting THIS TUESDAY (August 4th pickup) I will send out plenty of reminders but wanted to give you all heads up!

Market News

My Daily Bread is BACK!
Starting this week My Daily Bread will be listing their items every other week. Feel free to double up on items that you would purchase weekly. Breads, tortillas, muffins, and other items freeze well. Please show them your support and welcome them back!

Group Buy – FCLO
Items have been ordered and I expect them to arrive in time for this week’s pick up. If there are any changes I will email those that ordered offline.

Vacation Hold – Produce Boxes (repeat)
Just a reminder if you are going to be away on vacation please make sure you put a “vacation hold” on your Nature’s Garden Express produce box if you are scheduled to receive one. You can simply do this online or give NGE a call and they can set it up for you. If you get an email from them on Friday with your box menu that means your box is NOT on hold and will be delivered Tuesday. As always you can delete your box order before their Monday morning deadline.

Grass Fed Ground Buffalo and Pastured Chicken Breasts are AVAILABLE (repeat)
Both items are back in stock! These are 2 of the market’s best sellers so get them while they got ’em! Thanks for your patience!

Mountain Fresh Creamery (repeat)
We will no longer have Mountain Fresh Creamery on the market. The supplemental feed they give their cows contains GMOs. I am currently looking for a new dairy to provide us low temp pasteurized milk. I will keep you all updated. In the meantime, please consider Cedar Rock Dairy and Lil Tots Estate.

Champaign, OH:  Introductions!

We have a brand new vendor with us with really amazing soy candles!! She is new to the farmer’s market circuit, and she has a cool little story behind her candles…

Here is Cathy Ream…

I have been a resident of Champaign County my entire life(50+ years). I established Old Homefarm Candles because I like candles and wanted to have a hobby/business for my future retirement. The name Old Homefarm Candles was chosen, because after attending college and getting married and starting a family, my husband and I returned to my parents’ farm where I was raised and built a house where we now live.

Old Homefarm Candles has been making and selling homemade scented and decorative soy wax candles since 2013. They are sold at the monthly Champaign County Flea and Antique Show, The Depot in Lakeview, Ohio and at several area craft shows or festivals. The homemade scented 16 oz. mason jar candles are richly scented, and long and clean burning, poured with 100% natural soy wax from soybeans. Also sold are 6 piece clamshell wax melts for electric, battery and tea-light burners. These are poured with a 100% soy wax also, specially formulated for melts. Some decorative candles include pies, and drinks and may be poured with gel wax. All are scented with the maximum amount of scents recommended by the scents manufacturer.
