Republican Valley Produce:  The market is open, sorry for the delay

The market is open! I am sorry for the delay. With Monday being a snow day, I have been a day behind all week. It has been an interesting week with all the ice, rain and snow.

We were able to get all the garlic planted before the rain last Wednesday. We planted 2,800-3,000 cloves. I am hopeful for next year.

If you want to pick up your order at the Winter Market in Manhattan, please place it before Friday night at 10 pm. The market closes on Saturday at 10pm.

Thanks!

Jay

Welcome back, little market of love customers, each and every week!!! Thanks for the loyalty, thanks for the love, thanks for supporting all things local!!!

Each week, we love seeing the dedication, the loyalty, and the commitment, each week, at this market. We’re so glad you could attend…

I love the weekly customers, I am missing some old familiar faces, and I miss some that were new to us, but for whatever reason, you haven’t been around. We love and worry about our customers when we don’t see them as often!

How about we make this month, December, the month of coming home. Let us bring comfort and stress free days to you. Let us worry about getting your order put together. Let us bring a smile back to your face when you order for the week!!

Tonight, as I open up the market, I would like to remind everyone that we have added new vendors to the mix, and we continue to add…to the show that never ends…

Christmas Week

As you all know, I only close the market once or twice a year. I’ve decided this year we will not have a market the week of Christmas (Tuesday, December 22nd).

This is traditionally a very slow week and I would like to spend some additional quality time with my family.

I’ve let all the farmers and vendors know and I’m working with Nature’s Garden Express to work out the produce box delivery. I will have more information on that next week.

As for now, please plan accordingly and stock up in the next couple of weeks if you need to.

If you are a volunteer and have signed up for this week, I will remove this week from the calendar.

Thanks in advance for your understanding!

Warm up with some fresh coffee from the market!

JavaGenesis Coffee Roasting is a small batch craft roaster of specialty coffee. bags of whole bean and ground coffee. We source our coffee from the major growing regions around the world. All of our coffee will be roasted within 24-48 hours of the market to ensure our product is at peak freshness when it is delivered to you. Choose the 2 ounce sample size or a full pound bag and ‘Discover the Fresh Roast Difference’.

In addition to producing awesome coffee, promoting responsible environmental and/or social stewardship is important to us. Because Georgia does not have the climate needed to grow coffee, we use 3 importers to source our green coffee. We select coffee from our importers that have been farmed using sustainable practices and when possible we buy shade grown and/or fair trade organic coffees. We roast on a Diedrich IR2.5 roaster which uses infrared burners, not open flame, atmospheric burners. IR burners produce substantially lower emissions than atmospheric burners. We are proud to roast our coffee on a ‘greener’ roaster. In addition we give all of our organic waste material (coffee chaff, coffee grounds, etc) to a local gardener to use in her garden.

The Market is open Thursday at 9am – Monday at noon.
After Monday at noon, ordering is disabled until Thursday morning.

UPDATE CONTACT With all the hustle and bustle of back-to-school and new routines, it’s easy to forget things like picking up your TCH order. Remember that we can’t keep your items past 12pm, and we’ll try contacting you any way we know how to make sure you get what you ordered. Now’s a great time to check the phone number on your account to make sure it’s a number I can reach you at 11:45am on a Saturday. I start calling everyone who hasn’t picked up yet then, and will keep trying to reach you until 12pm, when we have to pack it all up. I hate seeing people’s food go somewhere else, and having a good phone number on your account is the best way to keep that from happening.

Main Market Location and Pick Up
Building 106, Colony Park Dr. in the Basement of Suite 100, Cumming, GA 30040. Pick up every Saturday between 10-12pm.
