Good morning!

This is just a short note to remind you that the Manchester Locally Grown online farmers’ market will be closed this week in celebration of the birth of our Lord. Most of the farmers will return next week, although White City Produce & Greenhouses will now be off the market for the remainder of the winter. The market will have vegetables from Frontier Family Farm for the winter season, and all our other farmers expect their current products to be available for most of the winter. Beef and pork products; herbal & handmade products; plants for home & garden; milk, eggs, & honey will be available year-round, with seasonal items such as winter vegetables and holiday items when available. We can make you a gift certificate in any denomination. Please encourage your local friends and family to shop at our year-round market and support local farmers!

Merry Christmas to you and your family! See you next week!

Blessings,
Linda

ALFN Local Food Club:  Market Reminder

Good Afternoon ALFN Members,

We’ve had a beautiful weekend with clear skies and sharp air. ALFN’s market is open this week, but we have a few changes due to the holidays.

We have a number of growers who are taking a break for the holidays. You will notice you will not be able to order products from some growers. Those growers who are on holiday have put their products in vacation mode, and you will not be able to order from them. However, we still have tons of wonderful produce and locally made goods.

Remember, this week you will order any needed party goods for New Year’s Eve. Whether it be black-eyed peas, wonderful cheeses to go with wine, or roasts for New Year’s Day, ALFN market has everything you need to party like a local.

I will definitely need some volunteer help on Saturday. Please sign-up for a slot at Volunteer Spot.

Thanks for all you do and have a wonderful Christmas!

Northeast Georgia Locally Grown:  Northeast Georgia Locallygrown availability list for Dec.18

Good evening Locavores,
Welcome to market for this very special Holiday!
This cold blustery night should add greater appreciation to the fact that as you enjoy the cozy warmth of your homes you may also shop your Locallygrown market for Christmas treats and treasures.
Old Man Winter has been gentle with the farmers this year so a wide selection of vegetables are still available. You won’t find a Christmas goose but, there are many cuts and roasts of poultry, pork, and beef to choose from.
The bakers have offered up some fantastic desserts from Christmas cookies and gingerbread men to cakes, stollen, and that so special buche de noel by Sylvan Falls Mill.
We farmers, managers, and volunteers at Locallygrown wish for you to have a joyous Christmas with friends and family. Be happy, fulfilled, and safe and let the kid in you feel the wonder of Christmas.
Your market is now open for orders.
