Paris Arkansas Farmers Market:  Last call!

Howdy river valley!

Last call for thanksgiving week orders! We will leave the market open till Monday morning so you can get any last minute local ingredients you need for Turkey day!!

Peace,

PAFM

Athens Locally Grown:  ALG Reminder: We are closed this week!

Hi there! This is just a reminder that Athens Locally Grown will be closed this week to allow us all to celebrate Thanksgiving. If you need a last minute item from our local farmers, Heirloom Cafe on Chase Street will be hosting a mini version of the Athens Farmers Market from 11-2 on Wednesday.

If you’re still looking for inspiration and recipes, of course the internet has no shortage of Thanksgiving suggestions. Rachel Ray has a whole section of her site devoted to cooking Thanksgiving dishes made from farmers market ingredients, and it is an excellent stating point. You can find it here: http://www.rachaelraymag.com/easy-party-ideas/great-get-togethers/holiday-party-menus/farmers-market-feast-thanksgiving

I am very thankful for all the food options available to us provided by members of our community who care about the health of both the people eating the food they provide and the land from which it came from. And I find it very fitting that I get to express these thanks via a meal made from that very same food.

Thanks also to you, and happy Thanksgiving! We’ll see you in two weeks.

The Wednesday Market:  Last Chance to Order before Thanksgiving!

Dear Friends,

This is a reminder that you have until about midnight tonight to place your Wednesday Market order for Thanksgiving week. The system will be TURNED OFF for ordering at 11:59 p.m. Orders are ready for pickup TUESDAY, Nov. 22, between 3 and 6 p.m.

Our normal ordering pattern resumes on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 11 p.m.

Thank you for your support of The Wednesday Market. We’ll see you on TUESDAY.

Thanks,

Beverly

CLG:  CLG REMINDER: No market this week! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Good evening!

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we will not be open for ordering this week and there will be no market on Friday, November 25. We will resume normal ordering times on Sunday, November 27 @ 6:00 pm.

At Conway Locally Grown, we are so very thankful for our market community.
We say thank you to:

  • the farmers and producers, who work extremely hard every day and through every kind of weather to bring us the best locally grown and produced foods and products!!!
  • the volunteers who help us run the market each week!!! We could not do it without you!
  • Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church for letting us use their facility every week!!! You have been so kind!
  • our customers, most of all, who value the food and this work!!! Thank you for your continued loyalty and friendships!

Make sure to tell your family and friends how thankful you are to have them in your life!!!

We hope each and everyone of you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!

ALFN Local Food Club:  Market is Open!

Good morning ALFN Market members!

The market is open. Make sure you stock up for those post-thanksgiving leftovers!

We are excited to announce that the new ALFN website is up and running. On the website you will see a section for our blog posts – please check out the one we published today! From now on, we will be using these market reminder emails purely for market-related messages. All over blog content will be posted on our website so that the public has access to it. We encourage you to check it out regularly!

I will go ahead and bend my rule a little bit to remind you all that the Southern Center for Agroecology has ONE more fermentation class left in their workshop series! This one is on December first, so you’ll want to sign up soon.

Hope everyone has a wonderful time with their friends and family this week!

Just a friendly reminder that market orders are due online by 6 pm TODAY. Place your order now so you don’t forget!

Eggs are SOLD OUT! Rocky Acres sold out of eggs on Friday at 1pm. Due to cooler weather and shorter days, the hens are not laying as much. We’ll have more eggs next week.

We have an extra 5lbs of Baby Swiss from Farmstead Fresh listed on the market. It’s creamy, slightly nutty, smooth, and delicious! Will pair perfectly with leftover holiday ham! Also, reminder that all Group Buy cheeses are in!

Please remember that we need to hit certain minimums in order for our farmers and vendors to deliver to us.

Thank you for placing your order and supporting local farms and businesses!
